Attention all MLS subscribers: President Gary Leogrande has appointed a Nominating Committee to recommend Officers for the 2011 term. Although Officers are elected by the Board of Directors, they don't have to be a Director beforehand. Both Participants (owner/brokers) and affiliated Realtors may be officers. If you are interested in being considered, or you'd like to recommend someone, please complete the application form and send it to WPMLS, attention Nominating Committee, no later then 12:00pm Tuesday, September 7th; the application will remain confidential to the Committee and executive staff. The Nominating Committee members are Margot Bennett, Chairman, and Mark Boyland, Pat Held, Joseph Houlihan, Larry Jensen, and Peggy Shea. The current WPMLS officers are listed in the Directory on www.wpar.com.

Register for the third annual "REALTORS Got Talent" RPAC fundraising event!
Back by popular demand, RPAC of New York will be hosting its third annual "REALTORS Got Talent" fundraising event during the Fall Business Meetings in Rye on Monday, September 13. In addition to the talent show, the event will include auctions as well as refreshments. Once again, REALTORS from across the state will have the opportunity to showcase their talents while raising money for RPAC. REALTORS interested in preregistering for the show should complete the registration form. Please return completed registration forms to NYSAR. Last year's sold-out show raised more than $12,000 for RPAC. We intend to raise the bar even higher during the 2010 event, but we need you to make that possible! WPAR Fair Housing and Cultural Diversity Co. Conducting Census of Members: 800 members have already completed the census. If you are a WPAR member and haven't yet completed the census, we'd still like to hear from you. We ask you to take just a minute or two to complete this questionnaire about the increasing ethnic and age diversity of WPAR members. The responses will provide key data to WPAR for planning future services and delivery mechanisms. It is also the goal of the organization to reach out to our diverse membership and encourage more active participation in the organization. You don't have to provide your name when completing the questionnaire, but if you do, you'll be eligible for five drawings of $100 American Express gift certificates.
